Julia Wright
practice owner & managing biokineticist
Julia Wright attained a BSc Sports Science, followed by her Honours in Biokinetics, at the University of Johannesburg (UJ).
Julia has a keen interest in the treatment of progressive neurological disorders as well as post-operative rehabilitation after joint replacements and ligament reconstruction. She enjoys working with the growing ageing population, particularly in fall prevention and in improving general quality of life through functional strengthening and dynamic balance training. She places an emphasis on body awareness and proprioception, and enjoys educating patients about how the body can compensate due to muscle imbalances.
Julia is an active 4th Degree Black Belt in the Korean martial art of Taekwon-Do and has been teaching since 2004.

Tyra Haskel

Tyra Haskel attained her honours in Biokinetics at the University of Johannesburg (UJ).
Tyra joined our practice in 2025 after qualifying with distinction. She has a special interest in post-operative rehabilitation and neurological disorders. She enjoys working with both children and the ageing population.
Tyra is passionate about overall health and wellness and promoting a holistic approach to treatment. She loves seeing improvements in quality of life and functional movement through consistency and dedication.

Michaela Goncalves
registered biokineticist
Michaela Goncalves attained a BHSc in Biokinetics followed by her Honours in Biokinetics at the University of Witwatersrand.
Michaela joined the practice in 2025. She is passionate about the elderly population and believes that quality of life can be improved through movement and holistic health.
Michaela has a special interest in out-patient orthopaedic care as well as neurological conditions. Michaela is interested in new research and findings in the medical faculty pertaining to the
efficacy and modalities of treatment for the aging population and neurological conditions.

Rene Grobler
registered biokineticist
Rene Grobler attained her honours in Biokinetics at the University of Cape Town (UCT).
Rene joined our practice in 2026 after completing her internship at the Rosebank sports centre.
Rene enjoys working with elderly and neurological patients and she is dedicated to helping individuals regain their confidence, achieve their daily functional goals, and restore their independence.
Rene lives by the belief that anything is achievable if you put your mind to it.
